Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual, ideally with experience in all aspects of work winning, and strategic research to join our growing team. This vacancy is for a senior position therefore, the ability to provide support, and advice is essential to help us develop our internal resources. 

This role will enable you to gain insight and experience across the infrastructure sector and to further develop your bid writing skills. There are significant opportunities for you to build on your existing competencies, with a wealth of training and development opportunities available to you.

As Senior Bid and Research Writer you will lead and support our bid writing function in the preparation/development of written technical and quality responses, engage with client SMEs, and develop quality driven output that aligns with win themes and hot buttons. You will also review content and provide constructive feedback to help develop our own internal resources. In addition, there may be times when you support our Strategic Consultancy and Advisory team in delivering written and project outputs.

 In your role as a senior member of staff, you will ensure the team supporting you is also delivering to our client’s objectives.

Responsibilities

Work Winning:
  • Lead input and responses for pre-qualification questionnaires and invitation to tenders
  • Lead on storyboard sessions/workshops and information gathering
  • Provide support in developing our internal bid writing resource 
  • Develop and manage responses working closely with subject matter experts
  • Identify and re-work existing content in line with specific questions and individual client requirements
  • Apply client bid feedback to future responses driving continuous improvement
  • Re-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders
  • Provide critical reviews of all responses to ensure a quality output is maintained
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses against agreed deadlines
  • Develop innovative ways of sharing and presenting information and involve the team in the change process 

Strategic Consultancy and Advisory:
  • Aspects of the above, but with the addition of:
  • Deliver strategic consultancy and advisory outputs working closely with technical teams across the infrastructure sector
  • Provide insight and technical input where necessary
  • Apply research and analytical approaches to complex aspects of our work


Requirements

Essential
  • Experience of working on large framework tenders
  • Excellent leadership attributes
  • Communication and people skills
  • Demonstrate ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines.
  • Well-organised with a customer orientated approach.
  • Writing and numerical skills
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office 365/SharePoint

Desirable
  • Educated to a degree level
  • Ability to travel
  • Knowledge of the infrastructure sector
  • Research and analysis in a technical environment

Experience

5+ years senior writing or research experience in a similar environment.

Remuneration dependent on experience.

As a Senior Project Consultant at Market Infra Consulting, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality consulting services to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent project management skills, and a deep understanding of the infrastructure sector. You will collaborate with clients to identify challenges, develop tailored solutions, and drive successful project implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, challenges, and goals, fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the consulting engagement.

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with client expectations.

  • Analysis and Assessment: Conduct thorough analysis of client processes, systems, and market trends to identify areas for improvement and recommend strategic solutions.

  • Solution Development: Collaborate with the consulting team to develop customized and innovative solutions that address client challenges, utilising industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies.

  • Implementation Oversight: Lead the implementation of consulting projects, ensuring successful execution within agreed-upon timelines and budgets. Provide guidance to project teams and troubleshoot any challenges that may arise.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate project progress, milestones, and outcomes to clients and internal stakeholders. Manage expectations and address any concerns in a proactive and professional manner.

  • Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within the market infrastructure sector. Share insights with the team and contribute to the continuous improvement of consulting methodologies.

Requirements

Essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, engineering, business management or technology is preferred

  • Proven experience in project management and consulting roles, with a focus on infrastructure.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proficient IT skills including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, and comfortable with numerical reasoning.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly in a team environment.

Desirable
  • Project management certification (e.g., APM)

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a project or business management role, ideally in a consulting environment.
